Budget Billing Plan

Any residential utility customer may request to be on the levelized budget billing plan. This service will be regulated as follows.

(1) New residential customers or discontinued customers shall not be allowed to participate in the budget billing plan for 12 months.

(2) The city will keep monthly billings at an average level. If, at the end of a 12-month period, the customer has accumulated a credit or debit, the city will bill or credit the balance over the following 12-month period, interest free.

(3) The budget billing plan shall be discontinued at either the city's or customer's request.
